pickles and syrup may all graduate to pages of their own.

In 1993, Marc and Hélène Larivière of St-Zacharie, Quebec, bought a small business in Maine called Maine Maple Products, Inc. However, the family’s roots in maple syrup go back much further.
Hélène's grandfather, Napoléon Larivière, began making maple syrup in Maine in the early 1900's. He operated a small sugar camp in Big Six Township; a remote area nestled in the northwest corner of Somerset County near the Canadian border. Despite the many changes which have taken place over the years, the Larivière's continue to make maple syrup from the same area.
Marc and Hélène’s sons now produce maple syrup from a grove of 43,000 trees, with the help of the next Larivière generation. Marc and Hélène continue to oversee operations at the packaging facility.
Everybody has a pickle story or a pickle memory. Pickle-Licious carries on the legacy of not only selling pickles, but creating pickle memories and stories. Pickle-Licious is also a member of the Jersey Fresh Farmers Markets Association.
In 1991, Robyn Brown-Samra took the first step towards realizing her dream of owning her own business. The logical first step was to open a booth at a flea market.
In her words, "...as a Jewish kid from Jersey, I was pretty much raised on pickles and bagels. I felt confident pickles would be a runaway seller."
At first, Robyn sold pickles in New York City, at local fairs and markets throughout the metropolitan area. She built a loyal clientele there. Robyn recalls, "Customers used to tell us that they walked up and down the street fair salivating, searching desperately for our booth. We sold out every single weekend."

Olive harvest begins in October of each year and ends in January/February, weather permitting. Fruit is crushed within 24 hours of picking, to insure the highest quality oil, as olives are technically stone fruit and the quality of the fruit will begin to deteriorate the longer it sits before crushing. Stonehouse typically begins harvest at the beginning of November, when the fruit is still green, and crush through January, as the olives ripen to black, so that we are able to obtain oil that reflects the full spectrum of flavors--from the fresh, grassy, early oil to the soft, buttery, late harvest oil. The company then carefully blends the oils to capture the best qualities from each stage. Depending on the year, Stonehouse may also offer an early harvest oil, Olio Nuovo, as well as a late harvest oil.
